Pilates

Le Pilates, méthode de remise en forme globale dont l’objectif est de renforcer les muscles profonds essentiels à une bonne posture. La méthode Pilates propose un ensemble d’exercices variés visant à:

  • développer la force centrale qui est la source d’énergie de notre corps tout entier, soit les abdominaux, le dos et le plancher pelvien
  • prévenir les maux de dos
  • améliorer la posture, la souplesse et la coordination
  • muscler en longueur et non en masse. On apprend à activer les muscles faibles et à relâcher les muscles tendus dans le but d’équilibrer le musculature

Le Pilates insiste sur la concentration, la maîtrise du mouvement, la précision et la respiration afin d’harmoniser le corps et l’esprit. C’est une méthode adaptée à toute personne en quête de bien-être, aux adolescents, aux sportifs confirmés , danseurs, aux seniors et aux femmes enceintes.

The exercises in Pilates Mat focus on strengthening the muscles of the hips, back abdominals and glutes or what is known in Pilates as the Powerhouse.
The exercices look simple but require stabilization of the torso and focused effort to keep abdominales contracted and working throughout the exercises.
Joseph Pilates defines his methodology as follows: Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects posture, restores vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.

I began dancing at the early age of 4 and dance accompanied me along a life-long journey. I studied classical ballet as basics (Royal Academy of Dance Method) and modern contemporary later, finding myself very comfortable in it. In 2010 I graduated after a four years full study program at the Rotterdam Dance Academy in Bachelor of Dance, performing field. Theodora studied and worked in Greece in Pilates-Dance Studio and in a private school as a supervisor. The classes that were teached was Pilates, Ballet and Modern dance classes. Also, she was trainer at pre-post natal fitness classes and from 2014 had her own mixed dance group with people with and without disabilities.

Agne, originally from Lithuania, started dancing at the age of 4. Her relentless passion made her an accomplished international performer and dance instructor. As many dancers, she became drawn to pilates and discovered its deeply healing benefits of breath, alignment and mindfulness. Agne is a qualified pilates instructor and offers dance workshops throughout Europe.

Certified instructor and experimented in the world of fitness, participating in international sport conventions in Europe.
